Key Accountabilities/Duties:
1. Lead and supervise 2-3 teams, 20-40 individual contributors on daily business operations. Ensure timely and accurate performance; provide effective resolution to any problems, disputes and complaints.
2. Keep abreast of changes in customer or authority requirements, assist department manager to communicate / negotiate with front line office about proposals to meet those requirements, refine process for successful implementation.
3. Work with other supervisors to streamline and unify process across departments with similar functional scope.
4. Allocate employees under supervision to functions and shifts, with conscious consideration on meeting business needs, balancing workload as well as enriching employee skills. Set performance targets for individual teams, motivate and build effective teams to achieve targets.
5. Interview and select new recruitments, plan and monitor training of new employees, evaluate new employee performance in probation to decide on acceptance or rejection.
6. Guide and support employees under supervision on individual career development within the organization. Cultivate and coach team leads and high potential employees on problem solving and management skills, to ensure a proper succession plan is well executed.
7. Participate and implement cross functional projects / tasks assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
1. University Graduate
2. Minimum 4 year experience and 1 year at entry level management positions, shipping Industry preferred.
